The Last Season
It’s been over a year since we released the hour long finale of Season 3 and Rudyard Ruins Summer. Today we are delighted to announce that Wooden Overcoats will return for Season 4 in Summer 2020!
Well. It will if we can make the money.
On Tuesday 15 October, we will launch our Season 4 Kickstarter and attempt to raise enough to make one last season of Wooden Overcoats.
Since we last released an episode, we have been busy working away on different projects. David edited scripts. Beth was in a play. Tom and Felix launched other podcasts (traitors). Liz went to America and met other podcasters. Andy went to America and met Wayne Rooney. John went to America and met a new coat, which he subsequently bought. But along the way we kept the funeral pyres burning with live shows at the Underbelly Festival on London’s Southbank and in Latitude’s new podcast tent.
Now the gang is back together, plus a very nice new coat, ready to buy Madeleine one more typewriter ribbon for the final chapters of the story of Piffling Vale. To do that, we will once again ask for your help. Wooden Overcoats is a big production with many people and hours of studio time involved, not forgetting the orchestra, and we would not have been able to make it this far without you. We hope that on Tuesday 15 October, and in the month following, you will help us out one last time.
However, next summer seems a long time to wait for new content! That’s why we’ll release some a little bit sooner. During the Kickstarter, keep an eye on our podcast feed for a mini series of Funn Fragments written by some of the most exciting, talented, and creative writers in podcasting.
Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell yourself.
We’re going to back to Piffling.
